Privacy Policy
Knucklelog is a local-first vehicle service registry. Your records live on your device; creating an account adds encrypted-in-transit cloud backup and sync. This page says exactly what we collect, why, and how to erase it.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a password (stored by our authentication provider, Supabase — we never see the password itself).
- Your registry: what you put in it — vehicles (including VIN if you enter one), service records, parts, torque figures, fuel logs, planned work, and the photos and receipts you attach. Synced to your account only when you're signed in.
- Purchases: your plan and payment status. Payments run entirely through Stripe; your card number never touches Knucklelog's servers.
- Sign-in security data: when you sign in or open the app signed-in, we record the time, IP address, browser/device description, platform (web or iOS app), screen size, timezone, and language. We use this to secure accounts and understand usage. It is never used for advertising.
What we don't do
- No ads, no ad tracking, no cross-app tracking, no analytics SDKs.
- We never sell or rent your data.
- Signed out, your data stays on your device — nothing is sent to us.
Who processes data for us
- Supabase — authentication, database, and photo/receipt storage.
- Stripe — payments and subscription management.
- Cloudflare — serves the app and its content.
Sharing you control
Vehicle history reports and transfer packages exist so you can hand records to a buyer. Nothing is shared unless you export, print, or send it yourself.
Retention & deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. Settings → Danger zone → Delete account permanently erases your cloud account — every record, photo, and receipt — cancels any subscription, and wipes the copy on that device. There is no undo. You can also export a full JSON backup anytime from Settings.
Children
Knucklelog is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
