Terms of Service
Knucklelog ("the service") is an owner-kept vehicle service registry, available on the web and as an iOS app. Using it means you accept these terms.
Your records are yours
You own everything you put in Knucklelog. You can export a complete backup at any time (Settings), and you can permanently delete your account and all of its data in-app (Settings → Danger zone). We claim no rights to your records beyond what's needed to store and sync them for you.
Accounts
The registry works without an account, storing data only on your device. An account adds cloud backup and sync. Keep your credentials to yourself; you're responsible for activity under your account.
Plans & payments
- The core registry is free. Paid yearly plans add garage slots and included buyer reports; a one-time per-vehicle unlock is available on the free plan.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew yearly until canceled — cancel anytime in Settings → Manage billing, and your plan runs to the end of the paid period.
- Deleting your account cancels an active subscription. Refund questions: hello@scottkrell.com.
Wrenching is on you
Knucklelog is a record-keeping tool, not a repair authority. Torque figures, service intervals, and reference data — whether seeded by the app or entered by you — are provided as-is and can be wrong for your exact vehicle. Always verify against the factory service manual for your VIN before turning a wrench. You are solely responsible for work performed on any vehicle, and for having the right to any documents you upload.
Reports describe claims, not guarantees
Verification statuses ("verified", "flagged") describe automated consistency checks against the receipts and data provided — they are not a warranty, inspection, or title history, and Knucklelog is not responsible for decisions a buyer or seller makes based on a report.
Fair use
Don't abuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempting to break or overload it, no reselling access, no uploading material you have no right to store.
Disclaimers & liability
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent the law allows, Knucklelog's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages — including vehicle damage or personal injury arising from maintenance work.
Changes & termination
We may update these terms (posted here with a new effective date) and may suspend accounts that violate them. You can leave anytime — export your data, delete your account.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
